Lithium and hybrids...

I have been reading JP Magazine with special interest (issue November 2009). The Trail Head article talks about burning fossil fuels and lithium. John Cappa raised some interesting questions which has put my Toyota Prius purchase back even further!
Electric cars are all good and well but the greenness of that surely depends on how the electricity is generated in the first place. Secondly, lithium batteries require lithium which is a scarce resource for which demand will increase five-fold. Thirdly, lithium is mined in Bolivia which is not one of the world's most stable countries. Forthly, the manufacture of lithium batteries isn't the cleanest form of industry and lastly, what happens with the vehicles' batteries, that have a life span of 100,000 miles only (is that true??), once these cars are going to the scrapheap.
The Toyota Prius is all the rage at the moment and unfortunately, only a few of us dare question these ill-informed do-gooders on what the long term effects are of their jumping on a Bilderberg group induced band wagon.
Nothing is ever what it seems guys! Keep thinking for yourself and question what others would like to believe as gospel. Global Warming is the new religion. Think for yourself!

Web development with RapidWeaver
13/09/09 09:27 Filed in:Apple
J33PER has recently changed his entire website. For years DreamWeaver has been used with varying success but J33PER never managed to get the look and feel he required. Then with the acquisition of a Mac Mini, iWeb was tried. Unfortunately iWeb is too restrictive and not optimized for recognition by search engines to name but an issue. In fact J33PER is a tad upset that Apple feels it can call iWeb a web development tool.
Anyway, after a bit of searching, J33PER found RapidWeaver. This software is amazing and what;s more, there is a user community out there developing some excellent add-ins to the RapidWeaver product. If you're using a Mac, check it our here.
Long story short; J33PER has just added the facility of commenting on his blog pages. This is pretty cool and we're hoping you'll use it. In fact, why not try it out now!
