What you will find at Birty Dastards is help, info and friendly advice on just about any Jeep related topic, in short truthful real world help. What you won’t find on Birty’s is sponsors or dictators looking to get your cash or grind any axes.
J33PER has only got limited experience of this forum so can't really comment. The world of Jeeps is small in the UK and more or less everyone knows one another. It's a bit trickier at Birty's as people are identified by screen names.

UK Club
J33P.org was formed by a group of like minded Jeep owners who wanted to provide a club/forum for intermediate/advanced off-roaders that was run by the members.
J33P started off as an initiative by your web master and his friend Tony. Initially it was run along the lines of a dictatorship. A peaceful self inflicted coup took place and J33P became a club. In the beginning there was Phil, Cuffy, Angela, Ros, Tony and yours truly.

JeepClub classes itself as the UK's leading Jeep® owners organisation.
Of the three main Jeep clubs, JeepClub charges a modest amount to be able to access all areas of their web site. The content is good, the layout is pretty. The forum lacks the ease of use found in v-Bulletin forums. The members are very helpful and they're a good bunch of people. The club does not have a committee and is run by one or two people.

Specialist Leisure is run by Patrick who is a well known character in the world of Jeeps here in the UK. Based in Warrington, Patrick appears to supply parts and services nationwide. SL does have a wearhouse where they keep a wide range of parts in stock. Very friendly bunch and most important of all; they do what they say!

FTE based in Essex imported its JK from the USA also. For that reason alone and the fact that their website has some good info about preparing the JK for the SVA test, FTE deserves a mention here.

JK-Adventure is the latest forum as far as I can tell. It's new and the server could do with speeding up.

JK-Forum is a well designed web site as part of Project-JK.com. It is run by a guy called Eddie who has been very successful in building a considerable following. He has quite a few sponsors who get good exposure on his site. There are some rules that some don't like. For them there is the JK-Owners forum...
If you want technical tips, JK-Forum is an excellent resource. However, do note that some vendors are banned from being mentioned so you may not get the entire picture just on that site. J33PER likes this site and had learned a lot from it. Anyway, make up your own mind!

JK-Owners is an independent forum for JK Owners as the name suggests. It's also a v-Bulletin forum with all the benefits that program brings. Also an excellent resource often with outspoken views and colourful language!

NAXJA is the North American XJ Association. So that site is for Jeep XJ owners (Cherokee). Why have I got this site listed? Purely because J33PER has made some good friends there and has been wheeling with them in Moab at Fall Fling in October 2008.
