JeepFest used to be an annual event. The first time J33PER attended was in 1998 when it was held in Sheffield. The videos shown below are from the last JeepFest we attended in 2005. This time it was held in Tong where Mark Askew and his volunteers had built the "RubiTong" a few years earlier. The RubiTong was a man made, small scale rock formation to emulate some of the trails in Moab. Sure enough, its scale is nowhere near the real thing but it was great fun to drive nevertheless.
Mark also ran JeepWorld magazine for some years. He decided to sell JeepWorld to a publisher who's efforts were in vain and the magazine hasn't been published now for some three years or so. J33PER looked at reviving the magazine together with Mark in June of this year (2009) but decided against it due to the current economic climate. Mark contnues to publish an e-zine which can be found here.
